Happy New Year! I hope you found the time to get some much needed R&R and have a wonderful healthy and happy holiday season! Under the current economic conditions, we all deserved a few days off.
It seems our time has become even more valuable than it was just six months ago. It's amazing that we're now being asked to do even more with less (yet again!). It makes analysis for overall project success even more important. Now is the time to show the "powers that be" the overall value of the BA, not only in terms of individual project success, but to the overall enterprise. Let's kick it up a notch, so to speak, and take business analysis to the next level. 2009 will be all about "providing value & ROI" and I believe the BA role stands at a crossroads to proving that proper analysis and methodology are integral to overall success. So, hopefully we've all taken some time to refuel over the past few weeks. But now lets all come out with all engines firing to continue to push the BA role and industry to future success, professional growth and the organizational prestige that will accompany our achievements.
Best of luck in 2009!
Warm Regards,
Adam R. Kahn
