The International Institute of Business Analysis has developed two certifications to provide recognition to the work business analysts do: The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) for senior business analysts and the Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) for mid-level business analysts. The IIBA® states the following:
Whether you are self-studying or taking a course, most CBAP® recipients have found that to successfully pass IIBA® certification, you should take the following steps
1. Study the BABOK®
2. Make a connection between the BABOK® and your experience
3. Assess your understanding
4. Assess your eligibility as an applicant (see the table below outlining the 3 main areas that make you eligible)

Description

- How much do I need to score?

500 is the minimum score acceptable to pass the CBAP exam. The CCBA cut off score has not yet been released.
- What is the difference between the CBAP® and CCBA®

The different lies in the distribution of questions for each knowledge area as well as the nature of the questions. The CBAP has more scenario based questions where the CCBA has more comprehension based questions.

We do not mail any material. Participants will be able to download most of the materials to their computer.
- Will I have access to all the 1000+ questions in your question bank?

You will have the opportunity to go through our entire question bank as long as you keep taking our practice quizzes and exam simulations which randomly draws the questions from our question bank. The quizzes assess your knowledge in specific Knowledge Areas while the exam simulation provides a combination of questions from all knowledge areas.
- I can't always access sessions during the day, are these available OnDemand?

Of course. All of our webinar sessions are recorded. If you can’t attend a particular session, you will have an opportunity to listen to it and you can use our forums to ask any questions you have about the session.
- Do you offer face to face courses?

No, but we plan to start offering some face to face courses for corporate groups in 2012
